Hi! My name is Casey and I have come all the way from the Bahamas to find my forever home. Pretty exciting isn’t it! I came with my friend Daiquiri. We get on very well together but we expect to become part of different families. I am a pretty, 38 lb, 7 month old shepherd mix. In the Bahamas I am known as a *Potcake or “Island Dog.” The Potcake name comes from the staple of the dogs’ diet: the dried "cake" which forms at the bottom of pots used for cooking and reheating!

I am a very friendly, gentle puppy who likes all sorts of people and other dogs. I have little experience with cats. I was very scared when I first arrived here at MaxFund but I am slowly gaining confidence and I am enjoying finding out that there are lots of nice things in life. A family of adults or with older children would be the best match for me because I get overwhelmed easily. I am not snappy and I will likely be OK with children eventually but right now I get obviously uncomfortable quite easily. I just need to get to know you for awhile!

I am housetrained and I ride well in the car. I walk very nicely on a leash and enjoy going for walks. It is great being outside! There are still some things, like groups of children and those weird vending tricycles, that I find scary when going for a walk but I am definitely getting used to all these new experiences – there just seems to be rather a lot of them at the moment! I am finding playtime is a good thing too and so I would very much like a well fenced yard in which to run. Oh yes and toys are fun, especially Kongs!
