Hey there! I’m Axel, and I’m very pleased to meet you! I’m a friendly boy in the prime of my life, and I’m looking for my forever home. My rescuers had seen me wandering around as a stray for over a year, so don’t you think it’s time that I have the loving home I deserve? I’m friendly and playful, and I really love getting pets. I’m also pretty enthusiastic about treats! I hope that you’ll give me plenty of everything, and in return, I’ll give you lots of love, purrs, and laughter.
I already told you that I was living as a stray for over a year. I guess I got tired of it, because one day, I walked into my rescuers’ house through the dog door! They already had quite a few cats, so I couldn’t stay, but they said I was friendly with dogs and kids. I am a little unsure about other cats at first (probably because, when I lived on the streets, I’d been in fights with other cats, as well as foxes!), but I think I’d do OK in a home with one other cat who I could get to know at my own pace. I do think I'd be good with a dog. Just today a dog came up to the door to the room I live in. When I saw the dog, I started rubbing up on the door -- like I was flirting with the dog. So I think I'd be fine with a dog so long as your dog is ok with cats.
The volunteers here compete to see whom I love the most. It seems they are all in love with me. I am not being conceited -- that's what they tell me. They love to kiss me and hold me. Of course, I make them melt when I have my cute pink tongue hanging out of my mouth. They say I am quite the ladies man. I hope that you will come down and meet me today! I promise I will be charming and engaging. I do need to be in a home without a dog door, since I obviously know how to use one of those and will probably get out. Other than that, my only requirements are food, water, and lots and lots of love!
